MOPPETS

What is MOPPETS?
Our childcare program is called MOPPETS and accepts children from 4 months of age (by 9/1) through 4 year olds. Babies from 0-3 months may attend meetings with their moms.

Childcare Guidelines

1. Moms must remain on the CBC campus while children are in MOPPETS (childcare).
2. Not bringing your child?: Please immediately contact Ann McWilliams, MOPPETS Childcare Director, @ 713.516.8745 or cbcmops@gmail.com if your child will not attend MOPPETS.
3. Illness: If your child has had a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rashes, etc. within 24 hours of a MOPS meeting, PLEASE do not bring your child to MOPPETS.
4. Parking: MOPS are to park their cars in the parking lot located on the back of the Cypress Bible Church property.
5. Drop-Off: Every child is to be dressed, fed, and (If needed) wearing a clean diaper/pull up. Shoes should be tied (or Velcro) and close-toed. Tennis shoes are the best!
6. Drop-Off Time & Locations: MOPS classrooms will open at 9:15 a.m. Entrance to the Early Childhood Wing (Building F) of the Worship Life Center will be through the emergency exit that is at the end of the sidewalk which extends from the back parking lot. This door will be locked at 9:35am so that the day can begin. Call Ann McWilliams @ 713.516.8745 to gain admittance.
7. Sign In: Always sign in at your child’s classroom.
8. Diaper Bags/Backpacks: Every child must have a bag clearly marked with his/her name. Each item in the bag must be LABELED including “lovies”, diapers, cups, bottles, and pacifiers. Please use a permanent marker. EVERY child regardless of age needs to bring a spare set of clothes including underwear, socks, & shoes for each meeting. We recognize that children do have accidents. We never want a child embarrassed by not having a clean set of his/her own clothes.
9. “Mommy Peek-A-Boo”: PLEASE, Mom, no peeking in the rooms! This is very disruptive. We promise…if you are needed, the director will come and get you.
10. Potty Training: A child must be totally accident-free for four weeks before attending MOPS without a pull-up. If bowel control is a problem, please put them in a diaper.
11. Allergies: If a child has allergies, please tell his/her teacher. If reactions (to peanuts, ants, wasps, etc.) are life threatening, remind the teacher each week!
12. Pick-up: Children will ONLY be released to their mother. Security tags will be checked (a driver’s license can be used should a tag be lost). If an emergency arises and a child cannot be picked up by the mother, Ann McWilliams, MOPPETS Childcare Director, should be notified.
13. Stroller Parking: Stroller parking is located under the covered walkway outside the doors to the Worship Life Center Commons.
