What Is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS is an international organization whose goal is to bring moms together to learn, laugh, and share with other moms who face the same daily challenges "because mothering matters”. To learn more about the MOPS story and organization, check out the MOPS International website:  www.mops.org.

Who can join?

MOPS is for any mom with children ages 0 through 5 year old.

Where does MOPS meet?

Our local chapter meets at Cypress Bible Church, 11711 Cypress-N. Houston Rd., Cypress, Texas 77429.

When does MOPS meet?

Typically MOPS meets monthly during the school year on the first and third Friday mornings from 9:15-11:35. Play dates and other special events are also planned throughout the year.

What happens at a MOPS meeting?

At each meeting, MOPS meet with girlfriends, enjoy a delicious, hot breakfast, hear from an inspiring speaker on a timely topic, discuss “mothering challenges” in small group time, and participate in a fun, simple craft.  While moms are busy, children are being lovingly cared for in the MOPPETS program.

What is MOPPETS?

Our childcare program is called MOPPETS and accepts children from 4 months of age (by 9/1) through 4 year olds. Babies from 0-3 months may attend meetings with their moms.

How much does MOPS cost?

There is a fee of $130 for the entire year.  This fee includes a yearly membership to MOPS International with the yearly benefits of a special welcome packet, quarterly MomSense magazine, E-mail newsletters, and website privileges. The remainder of the fee supports our local chapter and covers all operating expenses, including supplies, creative activities, social and special events, and leadership training.
